United Way India was awarded the ‘Warrior of Change’ Award 2021 at the “Annual Impact Creator Awards 2021″ (ICA2021) held on December 18, 2021 at the Raj Bhavan, Mumbai by the hands of His Excellency, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, The Honorable Governor of Maharashtra. Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, Government of India & Ms. Shweta Shalini, Sr. Leader & BJP Spokesperson also graced the award ceremony.
United Way India was recognized as an impact creator and an innovator for its significant contribution during the Covid 19 pandemic through its relief and recovery campaigns and programs like Hungry No More.
Speaking on the occasion, Jayanti Shukla, CEO, United Way India said, “We are humbled to have been recognised for our efforts during the pandemic. This encourages us and fuels our ambition to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities in building a stronger and equitable community where everyone can thrive.
