COVID-19 Relief & Recovery Impact

United Way India’s Covid relief and recovery program served 57,885,885 meals in vulnerable communities, supported 233,051 households with family ration and hygiene kits benefitting 861,897 people and distributed 70,936 medical equipment serving 167 hospitals across 25 states.
In addition to extensive support to marginalised communities and frontline workers during the covid pandemic, United Way in India is focussing on post covid recovery initiatives in communities, working on restoring livelihoods lost due to Covid, empowering daily wagers with skills to get them into mainstream jobs, bringing underprivileged women back into the work force, and getting children ready and safely back to schools.
